As if golf wasnÕt difficult enough, this small cist, known to many island golfers simply as ÔThe CromlechÕ, sits on the left hand side of the 13th hole that requires a shot right across the road!
Only one strangely shaped capstone survives and at least one stone has been removed since its discovery in 1837. It was excavated by F. C. Lukis in that year and again in 1844 where he found a large quantity of thick hand-made pottery suggesting a very early date.
